Library Services
Using the Library
Library membership is free to all residents of the Upper Lachlan Shire local government area, and to residents of NSW and the ACT as reciprocal members. Membership gives access to borrow from our collection including books for adults, young adults, and children, DVDs, music CDs, magazines, large print, and audiobooks. Membership also gives access to our extensive collection of online resources, eBooks, eAudiobooks, and eMagazines.
Members can borrow up to 30 items at a time for a period of 3 weeks. Loans will be automatically renewed up to 2 times for a period of 3 weeks each, unless the item has been reserved by another member. Members will receive reminders by email, SMS or mail when items must be returned.
Members can place reservations online to 'Click and Collect'.
Print, Copy and Scan
Printing
Black/white and colour printing facilities are available at all Upper Lachlan Shire Libraries.
Mobile print services
You can also print from most smartphones and laptops at all Upper Lachlan Shire Libraries. To print via your smartphone visit your library and connect to the free Library WiFi, find the library printer and select print. The printed items can be collected from the photocopier.

Black and White (A4/A3): $0.30 per page
Colour (A4/A3): $0.70 per page
Laminating
Laminating services are available at all Upper Lachlan Shire Libraries. The following costs apply:
A3: $4.00
A4: $2.50
ID Card: $1.00
Scanning
Scanning is available at all Upper Lachlan Shire Libraries, at a cost of $0.50 per scanned document.
Internet Access
Internet access is available using our public access PCs. Please ask at the Library desk to book a PC before use.
Both Crookwell and Gunning Libraries also offer Wi-Fi. In the Libraries connect to the Crookwell Library or Gunning Library Wi-Fi networks, then agree to the conditions. You will then be able to access the Internet on your own device.
Home Library Service
The Home Library Service is a free service provided for those people who, due to age, disability or illness, are unable to make their own selections at the Library. Staff select items as specified by the patron's interest and needs. The items are then delivered every three weeks by Library staff or volunteers. All Library materials may be borrowed through the service, including large print books, audio books, DVDs and magazines.

Inter Library Loans
Library members are able to request items from other libraries throughout Australia. For more information and to place your request, visit the our Inter Library Loans page.
Multicultural Bulk Loans
The Library offers bulk loans of books in other languages from the State Library NSW. Books are available in a number of languages.
Books are available in the genre areas of detective and mystery; love stories; popular literature; historical fiction; and science fiction. There are also Chinese simplified script and children's chapter and picture book available.
Conditions and charges for this service
Should the multicultural loan items be lost or damaged you will be required to pay the associated fines and fees levied by the State Library NSW.
